Mandurah CoderDojo
The Autism Academy CoderDojo is a free club, facilitating coding and tech projects for autistic and neurodivergent youth.
​
The program runs from four locations (Mandurah, Bentley, Ashdale, and Bunbury) and won the 2022 Premier's Science Award for Science Engagement Initiative of the Year.
​
Michelle is the Champion of the Mandurah CoderDojo, coordinating the incredibly talented mentors, who donate their time to support the adolescent, neurodivergent ninjas with their coding, tech, robotics, and many other projects.

We welcome new members (all levels) and new mentors, anytime!
What's Involved?
We are a free community club for Neurodivergent adolescents in the Peel region. Neurodivergence covers a range of diagnosis' including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, Tourette's, just to name a few.
​
Complete beginners, through to advanced programming languages and software development are catered for.
Some of the programs we use are Unity, Blender, MakeCode Arcade, Scratch, SpaceDraft, and many more. We also work with Python and Java Script languages. Many of our ninjas are hands on, working with robots, hardware, and podcasting. We are not a gaming club. However, if the ninja builds a game, they are free to play it.

Our mentors love the group as much as the ninjas and we are always welcoming new mentors from any area of the tech field. If you'd like to come along and work with the ninjas and share your knowledge, please get in touch today.
When and Where?
We are very grateful to the team at Mandurah Catholic College, who allow us to use their well-facilitated library every Saturday morning during school terms.
We operate from 10am-12pm and have a blast catching up with all of our friends and mentors.
